Alki for me is a quixotic attempt to have a small piece of beauty and light in the larger unpleasantness. I consider it an affront to all the compromise that is such a part of everyday living. I'm not sure how to express that without sounding too vain or absurd. It's so rare to really get what you want, and that is essentially what I offer thru Alki.
